Why do you want my old battery?
We ask for your old hybrid battery because it plays a critical role in our remanufacturing and sustainability process.
When a hybrid battery fails, the battery cells are replaced entirely, but many of the other components are still in excellent condition and can be safely reused. These include:
-
Battery case and covers
-
Bus bars
-
Relays and contactors
-
Battery control computers
-
Wiring and hardware
By reclaiming and remanufacturing these components, Best Hybrid Batteries is able to reduce waste, conserve raw materials, and keep high-voltage battery components out of landfills. This approach is both environmentally responsible and cost-effective, allowing us to offer high-quality replacement batteries at a lower price than brand-new packs.
What is a core charge?
If you choose to keep your old battery, an additional core charge is required. This charge offsets the loss of reusable components that would otherwise be returned into our remanufacturing stream. Returning the core helps us continue producing reliable batteries while maintaining sustainable practices.
The bottom line
-
Returning your old battery supports recycling and sustainability
-
It allows safe reuse of valuable components
-
It helps keep replacement costs lower for everyone
Your old battery still has value—and by returning it, you’re helping close the loop on hybrid battery recycling while supporting a cleaner, more responsible automotive future. ♻️
