What is included with a replacement pack?
BHB’s 2007–2011 and 2012–2017 Camry listings describe fully remanufactured nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery packs supplied fully assembled with electronics. Programming is not required for those listed applications. Review the supplied instructions for any brackets, ducts or cooling components that must transfer from the original assembly.
For another model year or chemistry, confirm the package contents and installation requirements on that specific listing. Do not assume that information for an older NiMH Camry also applies to a later lithium application.
Should you choose new, remanufactured, used or a repair?
A useful quote identifies exactly what you are buying. Ask each supplier the same questions:
- New OEM: Is the quoted part a complete factory battery? What are the installed cost and written parts/labor warranty?
- Remanufactured: What components are replaced or reused? What capacity, load or other testing is performed? Are the required electronics included?
- Used: What is known about the donor vehicle, storage, test results and return rights?
- Repair: Does diagnosis identify a localized fault, and what condition is the rest of the pack in? What work and warranty are included?
A longer warranty and a lower price describe only part of the offer. Compare fitment, pack contents, testing, installation, core requirements and responsibility for costs if a failure occurs.
Is replacing a Camry Hybrid battery worth it?
Compare the total replacement quote with the condition of the rest of your Camry and how long you plan to keep it. A battery replacement does not resolve unrelated engine, transmission, cooling or electrical problems. If the diagnosis is uncertain, get the complete vehicle code report reviewed before purchasing.
Ask your installer to assess the battery cooling intake, fan and duct condition as part of installation. Follow the vehicle’s maintenance guidance rather than assuming a new battery eliminates cooling-related problems.
Shipping, core return and warranty: what is included?
Standard shipping is included within the continental United States. Check your quote for any remote-area or residential freight surcharges and any expedited service you select. Qualifying domestic DIY orders include prepaid core-return shipping and no upfront core deposit.
Return the original battery core within 30 days to activate warranty coverage. Keep the replacement battery’s shipping materials and follow the included return instructions. Contact us before the deadline if you need help arranging the return. A $500 core charge applies if the required core is not returned.
The standard warranty is 3 years with unlimited mileage; an optional 6-year unlimited-mileage warranty is available where offered. Your selected term is shown on your order. Does a “Check Hybrid System” message mean I need a battery?
Not by itself. Provide the complete diagnostic-code report and symptoms so the cause can be reviewed. The hybrid system includes components beyond the battery.
Can the battery ship directly to my mechanic?
Yes. Confirm that the mechanic accepts customer-supplied batteries, can handle your hybrid application and has provided a labor quote before arranging delivery.
Does the six-year warranty include installation or replacement shipping?
No. The optional term extends eligible battery coverage; replacement shipping, installation labor and towing remain excluded under the warranty terms.
